Pisces Aquarius
INTRODUCTION
What happens to us is what we are... Our role on Earth begins at the very moment we are born: the celestial vault then seems to impregnate the baby with the cosmic influence; an astrological chart is thus like a cosmic print waiting to be studied, a signature that reveals the inner structure of a person.
Such a chart consists in a circle representing the zodiac, i.e. the strip of the sky vault where the celestial objects (the Sun, the Moon and the planets) move. This circle is divided into twelve zodiacal signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini...) and into twelve houses. The position of these houses depends on the location and time of birth. The points of Houses I, IV, VII and X determine the four angles.
All the celestial objects are positionned on this circle. An aspect (i.e. a line) is drawn between two of them when they are separated by a given number of degrees: 0 for a conjunction, 60 for a sextile, 90 for a square, 120 for a trine, 180 for an opposition.
The analysis of a chart is based on the valorization and the study of the planets (and their aspects), of the signs and of the houses, on the position of the planets in sign and house, and on many more interesting examinations. Disentangling the apparent jumble of the chart, this analysis allows us to understand and describe a personality. The present document summarizes a maximum of significant comments.
Please go beyond the possible austerity of our language: Astrology godsends have to be earned, its light does not shine for everyone (Not Lucet Omnibus...). Let your intuition work: Astrology is the art of symbols, that collide, mix, enrich each other and help to grasp the unspeakable by analogy...
A PRELIMINARY REMARK CONCERNING THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE PLANETS
A majority of planets underneath the Horizon often leads to introversion, withdrawal, subjectivity; the environment is very important.
Moreover, a majority of planets in the first three houses often indicates a strong personality.
The detailed valorization of the planets of this chart is explained at the end of this document.
POSITION OF THE PLANETS IN THE DIFFERENT SIGNS
Acting with the Aries...
Venus in its Detriment in Aries: helps to express one's feelings spontaneously; a usual case of love at first sight.
Saturn in its Fall in Aries: all the strength of the sign can be turned inwards, leading then to an impetuous and personal quest. The planet may also freeze the manliness of the sign or give it a destructive side.
Dreaming with the Cancer...
Jupiter in its Exaltation in Cancer: family, home and material comfort are things that matter; affable, rather greedy and conformist, this type is able to compromise with all to live in peace.
Scanning with the Virgo...
Uranus in Virgo: gives a scrupulous and strict nature, rather stern at times.
Pluto in Virgo: the planet can help the sign to loosen up, and give it a Scorpio aspect; on the contrary, the sign can channel the quarrelsome planet.
Opposing with the Scorpio...
Mars in its Domicile in Scorpio: a rather violent and aggressive temperament; it can manifest itself outwardly through burning passions; but it may also lead sometimes to self-destruction.
Neptune in Scorpio: gives a liking for mystery and occult sciences; a shrewd mind.
Diluting with the Pisces...
Sun in Pisces: see comments on solar sign.
Moon in Pisces: gives an acute sensitivity, an extreme receptivity to the environment, a visionary imagination... A romantic person, sometimes mystical, always easily affected.
Mercury in its Detriment and in its Fall in Pisces: gives an intuitive and imaginative personality; this mind seeks universality.
POSITION OF THE PLANETS IN THE DIFFERENT HOUSE
House I symbolizes personality, character, physical constitution, inclinations...
Sun in House I: this type proves very efficient and shows initiative; he wishes to take his destiny in hand and asserts himself with his beaming personality. The Sun, when it is well aspected, brings luck and success; badly aspected, it can indicate ups and downs in life.
Mercury in House I: this type often shows a bright intelligence, but generally contains all instinctive reactions. Mercury, when it is well aspected, brings skill and quick-wittedness; badly aspected, it can indicate a possible inconstancy.
House II symbolizes acquisitions, goods and trades, self-earned fortune, personal means...
Moon in House II: harmonious, this position often gives financial luck; otherwise, it may entail some kind of material dependence. The Moon, when it is well aspected, brings abundance and favor; badly aspected, it can indicate a possible enslavement.
Venus in House II: feelings and money are intimately connected; this position often gives financial luck, generally with the help of beloved people. Venus, when it is well aspected, brings charm and happiness; badly aspected, it can drive to erring ways. Analogy with Venus in Taurus.
Saturn in House II: the financial or material position improves slowly but this type usually appears unsatisfied with it. Saturn, when it is well aspected, brings inner strength and intellectual faculties; badly aspected, it can lead to delays or weanings.
House VI means daily life (work, health, animals, subordinates...)
Jupiter in House VI: this type fulfills himself particularly in his professional life, where he is often admirably supported by his subordinates. Jupiter, when it is well aspected, brings success and prosperity; badly aspected, it can indicate a possible laxity.
House VII symbolizes the Other (marriage, associations, trials...)
Pluto in House VII: unions are often based on passionate feelings; violent antipathies may sometimes create difficulties. Pluto, when it is well aspected, brings instinct and passion; badly aspected, it can cause anguish or lead to destruction.
House VIII symbolizes Life and Death (and what ensues: inheritances, sadness...)
Uranus in House VIII: unforeseen events may happen, regarding inheritances or funds coming from a spouse or any other partner. Uranus, when it is well aspected, brings modernism and independence; badly aspected, it can lead to conflicts or splittings.
House IX symbolizes the Ideal (religion, philosophy, faraway travels - which can be only intellectual...)
Mars in House IX: this type usually devotes all his energies to philosophical, religious or spiritual reflections. Mars, when it is well aspected, means energy and achievement; badly aspected, it can indicate some aggressiveness.
Neptune in House IX: hopes and convictions are intimately connected with sensitiveness and humanitarian thoughts. Neptune, when it is well aspected, brings intuition and faith; badly aspected, it can indicate a tendency to run away or lead to confusion.
COMMENTS ON THE HEALTH
A lymphatic (Pisces) or nervous (Aquarius) constitution. This generous and altruistic type, with an average vitality, may show a passion for humanitarian causes. Possible weak point: nervous or circulatory (lower limbs) system.
COMMENTS ON SOME REMARKABLE ASPECTS
Conjunction between the Sun and the Moon. Male and female principles are not easily differentiated: women may appear more masculine and men more feminine. This uneasiness may lead to conflicts with the other sex.
Conjunction between the Moon and Saturn. Mixing humid (the Moon) and dry values (Saturn), this cold aspect may drive to inhibitions of all kinds. It may also reveal an affective frustration (sometimes a weaning related to the mother or to the food); this type, trying to compensate, may show avidity (for food, affection, money...) or on the contrary renunciation (leading him to indifference, melancholy, anorexia...). A strong feeling of desertion makes him sensitive to separations and deaths. He may sometimes become inconstant, and refuse to settle down, or behave like a child in his sentimental life.
Conjunction between Uranus and Pluto. This aspect, associating two violent planets, must be mastered. This type should concentrate his overflow of energy on a noble object.
Conjunction between Neptune and the Medium Coeli. A culminant Neptune may indicate a professional life of service to community.
Sextile between Jupiter and Uranus. Open-minded and hearty, this type may sometimes be very influential.
Sextile between Uranus and Neptune. This rather enthusiastic type often devotes all his energies to humanitarian and communal ideas.
Trine between the Sun and Jupiter. This aspect often leads to fulfillment and maturity, and favors success.
Trine between the Sun and Neptune. This type is sensitive to humanitarian and communal ideas.
Trine between the Sun and the Medium Coeli. A strong need to assert oneself and to radiate can be fulfilled.
Trine between the Moon and Jupiter. This aspect usually favors financial or sentimental success; this type is joyful and often appreciates good food.
Trine between the Moon and Neptune. This type shows sensitiveness, devotion and great motherly qualities; he often has a strong need for escapism or poetry.
Trine between the Moon and the Medium Coeli. A strong need to give free rein to one's imagination can be fulfilled.
Trine between Mercury and Mars. This type often enjoys debate, satire, parody; his mind is sharp and pugnacious.
Trine between Jupiter and Saturn. Strict and well balanced, this type also often shows soundness, patience and self-control.
Trine between Jupiter and Neptune. Generous and humane, this type tries to live in harmony.
Trine between Jupiter and the Medium Coeli. A strong need to expand can be fulfilled.
Trine between Saturn and Neptune. Introverted and reticent, this type usually follows his instincts.
Trine between Saturn and the Medium Coeli. A strong need to draw back before heading for the main point can be fulfilled.
Opposition between the Sun and Uranus. This type may feel maladjusted to modern life and show unbounded eccentricity.
Opposition between the Sun and Pluto. This type may feel quartered between moral conscience and primitive impulses; he may therefore show anguish and guilt complex, or sometimes go through destructive crises.
Opposition between the Moon and Uranus. Women may refuse their femininity, with stormy impulses and an eruptive sensitiveness. Men can sometimes choose to reject their mother or women in general.
Opposition between the Moon and Pluto. This aspect emphasizes primitive, night and deep tendencies; it may indicate instinctive impulses, that can be either creative or destructive, depending on how this type is able to master them.
Opposition between Saturn and Uranus. This aspect brings an excess of dry and secondary values, and therefore tenseness, intransigence or individualization; it may also reveal a conflict between tradition and revolution. This rather intellectual type is able to clench his will to achieve his end.
Square between Venus and Jupiter. Love and money do not seem to get on well together.
VALORIZATION OF THE SIGNS
Let us now determine the more influent astrological signs of this chart:
- The Solar sign, where stood the Sun when the Birth occurred
- The sign of the Ascendant, or Rising Sign: it is the place of the chart where rise the stars from obscurity towards Zenith, for this specific hour and location of birth.
- The sign(s) occupied by several planets...
There is at least a remarkable sign:
Aquarius. For 1 reason:
- Sign of the Ascendant.
Pisces. For 3 reasons:
- Sign of the Sun.
- Sign of the Moon.
- There is a cluster: Sun, Moon, Mercury.
Aquarius: Between January 20th and February 18th, winter is settled, the weather is cold but the seed begins to feed. It is time for assimilation, experience and knowledge. This sign is one of the poles of the Axis Leo-Aquarius. Some famous Aquarians: Jules Verne, Lewis Carroll, Charles Lindbergh, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart...
The Aquarius type is:
- Belonging to a "male" sign.
- Fixed.
- Air, i. e. Sanguine (Hot and Humid).
- Kind, active, generous, wise; he has many friends.
- Altruistic; he is able to surpass himself to accept others (only when Saturn prevails).
- Materially indifferent; he has his feelings under control.
- Independent; he usually chooses to walk out of the beaten tracks. He is attracted by novelty (especially when Uranus prevails). He would like to share his learning with his fellows.
- Nonconformist.
- Inventive and creative; he has wide views (sometimes utopian). He is always well ahead of his time.
Aquarius is associated with:
- his masters, Uranus and Saturn.
- House XI
- ankles, lower part of the legs, nervous system and blood circulation...
Pisces: Between February 19th and March 21st, winter ends and nature revives. It is time for fruitfulness under abundant rains, but also for uncertainty, hesitation and expectation. This sign is one of the poles of the Axis Pisces-Virgo. It is also a double sign. Some famous Pisceans: Victor Hugo, Albert Einstein, Elizabeth Taylor, Rudolph Nureyev...
The Pisces type is:
- Belonging to a "feminine" sign.
- Common.
- Water, i. e. Lymphatic (Humid and Cold).
- Introverted, highly emotional, passive; he is no fighter. He is susceptible to influence.
- Dreaming; he wishes to escape the world by his mysticism or his poetry. With an intense unconscious life, he lives in the unlimited and the infinite. He longs to be loved, to find help to progress, for he is anxious to free himself from material life.
- Not really clear on his needs; he always hesitates between mystical ecstasy and torpor. He may become weak-willed.
- Mysterious and elusive. - Generous, unselfish, pacifist; he wishes to feel in communion with others and is able to make great sacrifices.
- Aware of his responsibilities.
- Subtle, intuitive and susceptible; his outlook is global. He can make a good medium.
Pisces is associated with:
- his masters: Neptune and Jupiter.
- House XII
- feet... It is a sign of weak constitution (only if the sign is truly valorized).
VALORIZATION OF THE HOUSES
The twelve astrological houses divide up the zodiac into twelve parts, whose position and size depend on hour and place of birth. Each of them has a specific connotation (personnality, money, siblings...).
It is important to see if some of these houses may be set apart from the others.
There is at least one House, remarkable by the presence of a cluster:
House II: Moon, Venus, Saturn.
On the other hand, a more extensive analysis of this chart incites to take into account the House V.
House II is analogous to the Taurus sign and to the Earth element. It symbolises the stability and the property, the acquisitions, the goods and the trades, the self-earned fortune and the personal means... It indicates the degree of satisfaction and the attitude towards possessions, as well as the degree of material independence.
House V is analogous to the Leo sign and to the Fire element. It makes us think of radiance and self-sufficiency, creations, works, leisure and games, love, affection and children... Joys derived from these creations.
VALORIZATION OF THE ELEMENTS
A lot of Water:
The Water element (humid and cold values, state of liquidity and slackening) identifies with unconscious, memory, tolerance and receptiveness... A prevailing Water element gives intuition, creative talents, an emotional facet, an inclination to dream; but it also brings too much passion, complacency or a personality difficult to understand, looking impressionable and passive, although there is a great activity deep inside... This type should develop firmness. He needs a profession where he will be able to freely express his feelings and where he will develop his sensitivity. Typical professions: artists, poets, navigators, actors... This type may recharge his batteries while living near water, swimming, taking baths.
Very Mutable:
This feature indicates mobility, adaptability (sometimes to the point of instability); communication, intellect, sometimes dissipation.
When valorizing elements, there may be contradictory comments. They may indicate a bi-polarization of the personality, where sentiments vary along an axis.
SPECIFIC REMARKS
There is at least a planet in House I. It goes (or they are going) strongly to affect the personality of the subject: Sun, Mercury.
Weaning of the Ego: Dissonance between Saturn and the Ego: This configuration may indicate some difficulties for this type to harmoniously integrate his constructive strength and to fulfill himself. This inward uneasiness can drive to several behaviours: inhibition of the personality, repression, melancholy, lack of maturity, avidity, proud harshness or bad communication... There may also be an alternation of these tendencies, according to the circumstances.
Trying weaning, related to the mother or to the food (Moon symbols): lack, dissatisfaction, frustration.
Dissonance between Saturn and Uranus: dryness, stiffness, bristling, tenseness and maladjustment. An excess of mental values may drive to a cold intellectualism. Introversion, distrust, changes of mood; this character mixes irritability, violence and shyness. Conflict between respect for tradition and sense of progress.
Dissonance between the Sun and the Ego: This configuration may indicate some difficulties for this type to beam and to fulfill himself. This inward uneasiness can drive either to a fearful withdrawal, or on the contrary to an overcompensation connected with the failures of the Sun, when it is badly aspected (pride, arrogance, authoritarianism...). There may also be an alternation of these tendencies, according to the circumstances.
Dissonance between the Moon and the Ego: This configuration may indicate some difficulties for this type to harmoniously integrate his sensitive values, like imagination, and to fulfill himself. This inward uneasiness can drive either to a freeze of all sensitiveness, or on the contrary to an inconstant behaviour connected with the failures of the Moon, when it is badly aspected (malleability, freaks, emotional nature...). There may also be an alternation of these tendencies, according to the circumstances.
Dissonance between Uranus and the Ego: This configuration may indicate some difficulties for this type to harmoniously integrate his originality and to fulfill himself. This inward uneasiness can drive to several behaviours: retiring within oneself, or a liking for provocation and excessiveness... There may also be an alternation of these tendencies, according to the circumstances.
Conjunction between the Sun and the Moon: The Sun is hot and dry, while the Moon is humid and cold. Women may appear more masculine, mixing maternal and paternal, female and male, conscious and unconscious values; she looks for a man that she can master and comfort. For the same reasons, men may appear more feminine. This may be modified by the sign of the conjunction and its aspects: a conjunction in Aries, in square with Uranus, for example, increases more the virile part of a woman character than a conjunction in Taurus in trine with Neptune. This type often shows hyperemotivity, nervousness, a somewhat bad-tempered character, or a delicate health, especially during childhood; he may also have artistic talents.
Second Lord of the Ascendant in its Fall: may give an inferiority complex, and therefore a need to overcompensate.
Conjunction of the Moon with one of the facets of the Ego (the Ascendant, the Lord of the Ascendant or any planet in House I): the mother often plays a large part in this destiny.
There are as many stars on the left side ("the Ego") of the Meridian ( i.e. the line joining the Medium Coeli to the Imum Coeli) as on the right side of it ("the Others"): this chart is rather well-balanced.
Mercury in Pisces, Water sign. Intuitive and receptive intelligence; with an intense sensitiveness and a great imagination, this type is a man of vision.
Medium Coeli (cusp of House X) in Scorpio: This type has a liking for thorough analyses, inquiries and investigations. The possible trades should be related to depths (detective, spelunker, oceanographer...), to sex (gynecologist, midwife...), to death (surgeon, veterinarian, criminologist, butcher...), to processing (glassmaker, chemist...). Remark: Sigmund Freud was a typical Scorpio...
KARMIC ANALYSIS
We invite you to consider the following information with caution, and to only keep the remarks that confirm former analyses or show them in a different and interesting light. Rules used here are very difficult to draw up and to check (previous lives, karmic encounters...).
Study of the Moon's Nodes.
The axis of the lunar nodes is the intersection of the lunar orbital plane with the ecliptic one. The South Node represents the inheritance from previous lives while the North Node indicates the aim of the present existence.
This person was enjoying pleasure, or power. The present challenge is to forget the fears that generate tension or aggressiveness, and to look for more harmony and serenity.
He/she also used to enjoy spiritual, religious or philosophical reflections. It is now necessary to use one's knowledge in concrete terms, or to share it with others.
Study of Saturn.
Saturn represents the karmic lesson: not intrinsically bad, it symbolizes the sense of responsibilities and indicates what life is going to bring us and also what kind of obstacles we shall have to overcome.
This type should master his/her aggressive impulses.
The studied person has to learn detachment from money, material goods, or sensuality.
There is at least one "dynamic" aspect with the Sun, the Moon, Venus or Mars: this may indicate a sentimental or family problem which has to be solved in this life.
At least one of these "dynamic" aspects concerns the Sun or Mars: this may indicate an inhibition of the masculine qualities (will, strength...) and create relational problems.
A conjunction between the Moon and Saturn, or between the Moon and Pluto sometimes indicates karmic links with the mother.
In this man's chart, Saturn is dissonant with Mars. This may weaken Mars energy, and generate aggressiveness and dissatisfaction (in sentimental life for instance). This man needs to calm down and give up sometimes.
Study of House XII.
House XII represents the inner world and all the remote places (hospital, monastery, prison...); it also gives information on the previous life. Saturn, Pluto, Lilith or the South Node in House XII may bring a heavy karma, while the presence of the Sun, Venus or Jupiter can indicate the opposite.
Study of the position of the Lord of the Ascendant.
The Lord of the Ascendant is on the Axis Virgo - Pisces, the axis of trials and constraints: individuals face their physical, moral, emotional or intellectual limitations.
The Lord of the Ascendant is on the Axis of Houses II - VIII, the axis of possession and sensation: importance of the material side of life and of sexuality.
Study of the position of the Sun.
It is necessary to be more concrete, more methodical, and to put one's intuition into practice.
This type should seek his/her balance in union, marriage or association.
The Lords of the Karma.
There is at least one planet in conjunction with the South Node of the Moon: the lesson symbolized by this planet may not have been assimilated and this problem should be solved before any future evolution.
This type should develop and use her/his creative talents.
Analysis of Lilith, the Black Moon...
Lilith, seeking ideal and perfection, symbolizes a mental power, not bothered about feeling, and may lead to destructive attitudes.
Lilith here intensifies spontaneity and instinct; it also sometimes emphasizes aggressive reactions or quarrelsome attitudes. It is necessary to strive for self-control.
There may sometimes be material difficulties. But Lilith can also lead here to a complete detachment from financial problems.
This shrewd and lucid person has to learn to find the balance between feeling and reason, instinct and control.
PLANETARY VALORIZATION
The more interesting ways to valorize planets are to find and analyze:
- The Lord(s) of the Ascendant
- The Lord of the Nativity
- The planetary links
- The culminating planet
- The scout planet
- The aspects.
First of all, the Lord of the Ascendant
The EGO of somebody is composed of many facets, but the most important is the Lord of the Ascendant, which says a lot about the personality, at least as much as the Solar Sign. The Lord (or Master or Ruler) of the Ascendant is Uranus in Virgo and in House VIII.
There is a second Lord of the Ascendant, Saturn in Aries and in House II.
Uranus is the god of hurricanes and brings storm and revolution. Planet of ideal, like the Sun and Saturn Uranus symbolizes self-control. Ideal with the ideological meaning, that can be unhealthy: in that way, Uranus can be an amoral planet, contrary to the Sun. Uranus represents progress, avant-garde and discovery. Uranus also symbolizes tenseness, concentration on a sole goal, renunciation (with the risk of obsession); independence, originality, rejection of traditions. It gives an uncompromising personality, sometimes insensitive. A typical Uranus has a nervous or a bilious constitution.
Saturn is a giant planet like Jupiter. Planet of ideal, like the Sun and Uranus, it symbolizes self-control but in a repressed or inhibited way. A bad aspect of Saturn actually tends to degrade the nature of the vibrations of the other planet at stake and to distort them. The characteristics of this second planet are then caricatured, even inverted sometimes. Saturn is associated with introversion, withdrawal, intellectual speculation, old age. A typical Saturn has a nervous constitution.
Then, the Lord of the Nativity
Its calculation is based on the position of the planets on the different degrees of the zodiac, on their situation compared to the House cusps, on their potential retrogradation and on their daily step (but not on their aspects). This planet marks one's life for ever, like the Lord of the Ascendant. The Lord of the Nativity is the Moon in Pisces and in House II.
The Moon is the second light, one of the fast "planets". Symbol of passive instinct, it is one of the poles of the unconscious, like Neptune. It represents a closed universe where all is still in germ. It rules everything aquatic and small children. The Moon of a chart may also symbolize the Mother; and chilhood. The Lunar type is lymphatic, imaginative and dreamy.
Other interesting planets in this chart:
Some planets dominate others, through chains of successive masteries (a planet rules all the planets located in the sign(s) where it is said to be in its domicile).
Moon: Jupiter in Cancer and House VI. Sun in Pisces and House I. Mercury in Pisces and House I. Uranus in Virgo and House VIII. Pluto in Virgo and House VII. Mars in Scorpio and House IX. Venus in Aries and House II. Saturn in Aries and House II. Neptune in Scorpio and House IX. i.e. 9 planet(s) dominated. The nearest planet from Medium Coeli is socially important. It is Neptune in Scorpio and in House IX.
The scout planet is Mercury in Pisces and in House I. It is the planet which, on a chart, rises just before the Sun. It marks the personality.
Mercury: the thinker type. Others see him as thoughtful (whose first interests are intellectual), observant, psychologist, rather detached, sometimes superficial, able to find a rational solution to any problem. He often shows talents for communication, advice, lecture or writing.
